Itinerary

Check in with your tour manager in Johannesburg at Oliver Tambo airport. After check in we depart Johannesburg to Milan for the start of our Italian adventure. Flight times to be confirmed

Ciao Bella! Welcome to Italy! We arrive in Milan, continue through customs and transfer to our hotel. After a well deserved break to refresh, your guide will take you to central Milan to view the magnificent Duomo, and enjoy some free time before dinner.

A full free day for some shopping or site seeing. Regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world, it is home to the headquarters of many of the most famous Italian fashion brands like Armani, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana and many more. The art lovers can make their way to the Last Supper, and if you prefer natural scenery, why not take a short train ride to rub shoulders with the rich and famous at Lake Como.

Our first stop of the day is the town made famous by Romeo and Juliet! We visit Verona for some free time to explore this lovely town.

The canals of Venice awaits as we show you the Grande Canal, Rialto Bridge and St Mark Square. After the guided tour you will have some free time to wonder around the water canals of Venice.

A free day in Venice. C the world recommends the glass blowing island of Murano, or head to Lido’s beach. Why not take a Gondola ride?

Today we make our way to the ancient city of Rome and "do as the Roman's do". A late afternoon guided tour of Rome shows you the Collosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and much more.

A free day in Rome. C the World recommends the Vatican City. Alternatively visit the inside of the Colosseum or jump on a hop on/hop off bus through Rome.

A short drive takes us to our hotel in Sorrento. Spend the afternoon wondering the streets or jump on a local bus and visit the Amalfi coast town of Positano.

A free day in Sorrento. C the World recommends the majestic island of Capri where you can find the famous Grotto Azzurra (Blue Grotto) or take the chairlift to the summit of Monte Solaro. Alternatively, visit the towns of Positano and Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast, truly a region not to be missed.

Our Italian adventure continues to Siena. See the famous Il Campo Piazza and the Duomo of Siena. Tonight we spend the night in Siena, a beautiful medieval town situated in the heart of Tuscany.

Certainly, a day you will never forget! In the morning we make our way to San Gimignano, one of the most beautiful Tuscan towns! We continue to a stunning Tuscan farm for our cooking class and wine tasting. Enjoy the stunning views over the Tuscan region whilst enjoying a wine tasting and cooking class! The pasta you make, is the pasta you will eat! We continue to Florence, regarded as the capital of Tuscany.

Our first stop of the day is the city of Florence, see the famous cathedral of Florence, Bridge of Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria (Copy of Michelangelo’s St David’s statue. In the afternoon we visit one of the most famous attractions of Europe, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We end the day at La Spezia, which is the gateway to the Cinque Terre.

Yet another day that will never be forgotten. The Cinque Terre or “The Five Lands,” is made up of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

All five villages are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Each town offers something special and is easily accessible by trains from La Spezia. Explore this amazing coastline at your own pace.

We drive to the airport in Milan for our return flight to South Africa. Flight times to be confirmed
