May Greece tour 2024

Check in with your tour manager in Johannesburg at Oliver Tambo airport at 19:00. After check in we depart Johannesburg to Athens for the start of our Greek adventure. (Dinner on board flight).

After our arrival in Athens, pass through customs, and collect our luggage. We will be transferred to our hotel to refresh, before your guide will walk you into the area known as the plaka, with some lovely restaurants at the foot of the Akropolis! (Breakfast on board flight)

We depart Athens for the picture perfect island of Mykonos on a ferry. After arrival we will be transferred to our hotel for some free time before the guide will walk you through the Cobblestone city centre where you can have dinner with the group or find a romantic spot for you and your partner. (Breakfast)

A free day to explore this beautiful Greek island. Mykonos is well known for its white buildings and blue shutters and is a photographers dream. Spend your free day laying on one of the beaches or have a fun night out with some lovely beach bars and dance the night away under the stars. (Breakfast)

A free morning to have a last walk around before we take a ferry from Mykonos to Santorini. After our arrival and check in, enjoy the magnificent views Santorini has to offer! Santorini truly does offer some of the most beautiful sunsets in the World! Sit at one of the many restaurants with a view and see the sun set across the caldera! A sight you will never forget. (Breakfast)

A full free day on the volcanic island of Santorini. Enjoy the most spectacular wine tasting you will ever experience or work on your tan on one of the famous beaches around the island. Late afternoon we recommend you make your way to the town of Oia, World famous for some of the most picturesque sunsets. Alternatively, visit the hot springs and volcano on a organized boat tour, and end the day in Oia! (Breakfast)

Another full free day to explore Santorini. Why not take a optional boat tour and explore the caldera from the sea. Walk up the Nea Kameni, swim in the volcano hot spring or enjoy lunch at Therasia. Enjoy one great last sunset, because tomorrow we return to Athens. (Breakfast)

A last free morning to witness the beauty of Santorini. Around 13:30 we make our way to the new port for a cruise to Athens. Cruise through the beautiful Greek islands before we reach the harbor in Athens later the evening. Transfer to our hotel for a great nights rest! (Breakfast,)

We start the morning with breakfast before we depart for a morning guided tour of the historical Athens. Our expert guide will start the tour at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896. Continue to pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (the old Royal Palace) guarded by the Eu Zones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis we visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum, where our tour ends. Free afternoon to see what Athens has to offer. (Breakfast)

A free morning to explore Athens and do some last minute shopping. We depart to Athens Airport around 14:00 for our return flight to Johannesburg! (Breakfast, Dinner on board flight)

We arrive back in Johannesburg with a scheduled arrival time of 10:15 AM. Say goodbye to new travel friends and take a lifetime of memories with you back home! (In flight meals)
