Itinerary
Check in with your tour guide at Oliver Tambo airport in Johannesburg. We depart Johannesburg to Bergen (Via Paris on Air France) to start our Scandinavian adventure.

We arrive in Paris around 06:00 AM, and connect to Bergen in Norway. After collecting your luggage, we will be transferred to our centrally located hotel in Bergen. After checking in at our hotel and some free time to refresh, a quick orientation walk by your tour guide to give you handy tips for the next day.

A full free day to explore the second biggest city in Norway. Why not make your way up the mountain with the funicular for spectacular views across Bergen or spend the afternoon walking through the Bryggen (the docks) with plenty of shops and restaurants. A visit to the local fish market is also a must.

Norway is World famous for Fjords, and for the next 4 days you will get the opportunity to explore some of the best fjords in Norway. We start off with a beautiful drive from Bergen to the town of Flam, on the edge of the Sognefjord. You will have the option to enjoy the Flamsbana train journey which National Geographic Traveller Magazine called one of the top 10 train journeys in Europe. In 2014 Lonely Planet Traveller went even further and named it the best train journey in the world. Alternatively, we can arrange a visit to one of the most famous viewpoints in Norway, the Stegastein Viewpoint. We continue through the longest tunnel in the world (24.5km), and a quick ferry to Sogndal where we spend the night.

After breakfast we depart Sogndal and enter the high mountains of Norway. We stop for a lunch break at a spectacular restaurant overlooking a glacier. We continue to the town of Loen, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Loen Skylift, or just relax in town. We check into our hotel on the banks of the Nordfjord.

Today we enter the World famous Geiranger Fjord. We take a ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger and pass the world famous Seven Sister's waterfall. After our arrival in Geiranger, we will stop at a viewpoint overlooking Geiranger (Flydalsjuvet) and the rest of the afternoon can be spent walking through the beautiful town of Geiranger. We spend the night at a hotel in the Geiranger village.

Another spectacular viewpoint to start the day, Ørnesvingen. We continue to one of the most thrilling mountain passes in the world, the Trollstigen pass. We stop at the viewpoint with enough time for a coffee and a walk about, before we decent from the top to the bottom with spectacular views and waterfalls. We drive to Lillehammer, home of the 1994 Winter Olympics, where you can explore the city at your own pace.

Early morning we depart to the Capital city of Norway, Oslo. We will arrive in Oslo around 10 AM and have the full day to explore the sites of Oslo. See the Royal Palace, visit a museum or enjoy some excellent shopping.

We depart Oslo to the Capital city of Sweden, Stockholm. After our arrival in Stockholm, a free evening to explore the sights and sounds of Stockholm.

A full free day to explore Stockholm. Visit Gamla Stan, the fascinating Vasa Museum, the Stockholm Palace or Skansen. Abba fans can visit the Abba Museum as well.

A full day drive takes us to Denmark and the capital city of Copenhagen. After checking in to our hotel, enjoy a free evening to roam the streets of Copenhagen.

A early morning departure from our hotel to the airport for our return flight back to Johannesburg. We arrive back in South Africa.
